Gen3 - Attachments - Telehandler Buckets (Breaking through heap)
When using earth moving buckets, most machines are allowed to temporarily exceed the capacity rating and lift the rear wheels off the ground
Temporarily exceeding the capacity rating is permissible when breaking
through the heap, as long as the boom is fully retracted. When the boom is extended less than 1 meter and is at an angle of less than 10
degrees - the Gen-3 cutout is disabled.
This operating condition assumes that the correct bucket has been selected and attached to the machine. To determine the correct sized shovel for the machine (and application) the operator needs to carry out a loading calculation. The operator needs to look at manufacturer data to accomplish that task. This will ensure safe machine operation.
Within this region the load capacity is unlimited
allowing full operation of the bucket.
