This fault code can appear when a component (CPIM) of the Gen 3 system has been replaced/moved and can sometimes be intermittent during telehandler operation with shifting weight.
The remedy that usually clears this fault is the re-calibration of the carrier angle. Achieving this task requires the operator to navigate the Gen 3 menu system to the 'Calibrate Carrier Angle' function screen.
The navigation path from the Gen 3 main screen is:
1. Press the center 'Enter' button on the 5 button user control
2. Navigate to the 'System Menu'
3. Navigate to the 'Advanced Menu'
4. Enter Password '2 - 8 - 4' and then 'Submit Password'
5. Navigate to the 'Sensor Calibrations'
6. Navigate to the 'Calibrate Carrier Angle' function
Raise the telehandler boom to 5 degrees or so (just enough so that the attachment doesn't dig into the ground during vehicle driving). Drive the vehicle onto a flat even surface (preferably a concrete surface). The 'Calibrate Carrier Angle' screen has a 'Calibrate Angle X' and a 'Calibrate Angle Y' readout. The ideal is for both of these parameters to read as close as possible to '0.0'. If they don't, then some minor repositioning of the vehicle (driving backwards and forwards) may yield a closer reading to '0.0' on both of the readouts. Then read and execute the instructions on the display to complete the 'Calibrate Carrier Angle'
Navigate back to the Gen 3 main screen and the T03 fault should have been cleared and no longer be displayed. If the T03 fault remains then the CPIM may have developed an electronic fault and may require factory diagnosis/repair.
If the problem persists then contact EQSS support for further guidance.
