Gen3 - Hardware - 5 Button User Control switch

The 5 Button User Control switch must be plugged in to the Display for Gen 3 navigation to be possible
5 Button User Control switch assembly (Part No: SW001077)

If you are not able to navigate the Gen 3 System then:
1. Check the physical connection at the Display end
2. Check the physical connection at the Switch end

1. Check the physical connection at the Display end
The 5 Pin - User Control is plugged into the 5 Pin - User Control receptacle as shown in the photos below

Please observe the 5 Pin - User Control receptacle alignment notch
Line up the alignment hole on the cable connector with the alignment notch on the display connector.

Push the female connector from the cable into the male connector on the display.

Rotate the nut on the female connector by hand in a clockwise direction, until the tension on the nut starts to increase.
Push the cable in again and repeat until the connector is secure.

The method to correctly secure the cable is to push-twist, push-twist until the connector is fully inserted and secure. This will minimise the twisting force applied to the connector.

2. Check the physical connection at the Switch end
For the switch assembly to function, the cable plug must be securely mated with the 5 Pin - User Control Switch

It is possible after years of operation in a vibrating Telehandler, for the male plug to have loosened just enough to create intermittent 5 Pin - User Control Switch operation. Check and press fit to recover full functionality.
