Gen3 - Installation - Proportionally Extending Boom Segments

The majority of telehandler booms extend their segments in a proportional manner.
They use a single extension cylinder with each segment chain linked so that each
segment extends at the same time. Since each segment extension is linked together the
cable reeler only needs to measure the extension of the first segment to measure the
complete extension.
Some telehandler booms extend each segment one at a time, once the first segment
has been extended then the next segment starts to extend and so on until the boom is
fully extended. Since each segment extends separately from the rest of the segments
the entire length of the boom needs to be measured.

The Gen3 LMS is not compatible with telehandlers that extend
the last boom segment first. Since the stow switch is not
released, a system fault will occur.
