Gen3_ITC - Fault Code - IN06

Gen3_ITC - Fault Code - IN06

Notes
The CDAM is a CAN bus device and it passes ITC arm/boom angle information to the rest of the EQSS system
The Boom Angle Sensor is used to determine the inclination of the boom relative to the initially calibrated machine angle.
Some possible reasons for the IN06 fault code:
  1. CDAM Angle Conflict (outside acceptable boundaries of the system)
  2. Sensor Fault
  3. The CDAM is not producing the correct output.
Mechanical/Electronic Troubleshooting:
1. Check the CPIM to CDAM cable
2. Check for 12V and Ground on the 4-Pin plug
3. Check for continuity on the 4-Pin CDAM CAN cable
4. As the module is non user serviceable, call EQSS support for further advice

Calibration Troubleshooting:
  1. Raise/lower the boom and ensure the angle is changing.
  2. If the angle is changing re-calibrate the arm/boom angle.
  3. If the angle does not change replace the CDAM module.
Calibration Details:
The remedy that sometimes clears this fault is the re-calibration of the arm/boom angle. To achieve this task requires the operator to navigate the Gen 3_ITC menu system to the 'Calibrate Boom Angle' function screen.

The navigation path from the Gen 3_ITC main screen is:
1. Press the center 'Enter' button on the 5 button user control
2. Navigate to the 'System Menu'
3. Navigate to the 'Advanced Menu'
4. Enter Password '2  -  8  -  4' and then 'Submit Password'
5. Navigate to the 'Sensor Calibrations'
6. Navigate to the 'Calibrate Boom Angle' function

Proceed with the calibration instructions as displayed on the screen.
Navigate back to the Gen 3_ITC main screen and the IN06 fault may have been cleared and no longer be displayed. If the IN06 fault remains then it's possible that the CDAM has developed an internal electronic fault.
