Gen3_ITC - Installation - Installation Requirements (Skills)

The Gen3 LMS ITC requires the following technical skills to complete the installation
Skills Required
- Workshop Mechanic – The Gen3 LMS requires mounting external sensors on the telehandler. This may require the manufacture and fabrication of custom brackets, to correctly mount the sensors in the required orientations. It may also require drilling and tapping holes - or welding to mount the sensors.
- Hydraulic Technician – The load measurement system of the Gen3 LMS requires the use of pressure sensors in the main lift cylinder. This may require sourcing hydraulic fittings, or modifying existing hydraulic components to fit the pressure sensors.
- Automotive Electrician – The Gen3 LMS requires power from the telehandler electrical system, as well as input from some of the cabin controls (such as the drive direction and stabilizer states). The switch signal directions may require the installation of reversing diodes in the wiring harnesses to ensure correct switching inputs. It is strongly recommended that the services of a qualified automotive electrician be contracted for all electrical tasks.

Please remember that this is a safety system and correct reliable installation techniques are critical for reliable operation.
