Gen3 - User - Pre Operation Checks

Alert
These tests must be performed in addition to the pre-operation checks listed in the machine operator manual
The EQSS Gen 3 system monitors the machine operating conditions via its own Gen 3 system sensors and then creates cutouts when it deems that an unsafe operating condition has occurred These cutouts are accomplished by using cutout relays within the Gen 3 system modules.

As these relays are critical to ensure safety cutouts, the operation of these relays can be tested through the menu system on the Gen 3 display. The diagrams below illustrate the process of testing the EQSS Gen 3 cutouts.

Run through the tests below before operating the machine.

To test the relays and cutouts, the operator will need to:
  1. Test Primary Cutout
  2. Test Secondary Cutout
  3. Test Boom Raise Cutout
  4. Test Boom Extend Cutout
Notes
All cutout operations are accomplished via the EQSS Gen 3 cutout relays
