ITC SWL- Hitachi - Wiring 3 Pole Connectors

ITC SWL- Hitachi - Wiring 3 Pole Connectors

Notes
The MCL system uses a number of black 3 pole connectors to transmit signals from the load sensor, back to the cabin electronics.
It may be necessary in some cases to shorten the cable and reattach the connector.

Wiring Steps:
The description below will detail the proper method of wiring these connectors to the 2 core cable and securing them to the hose to maintain a proper seal.
1. Strip the outer insulation off the end of the 2 core cable. Attach a ferrule to the end of each wire.

2. Insert the connector body over the end of the black hose.
3. Using a philips screwdriver secure the ferrules to the load (L) and neutral (N) terminals on the connector head. The order is not important and the earth terminal is not used.

4. Insert the release switch if required and clip the head into the body.

5. Tighten the cable gland onto the black hose to seal the connector.

6. To release the connector from the body, loosen the cable gland and using a small screwdriver release the two tabs from either side of the connector body.
