The cable reeler is used to supply the electrical signals to the load sensor.
The cable reeler should be installed on the reinforcement plate at the top of the base boom
section on either the cabin or engine side of the boom, depending on the cable reeler
configuration.
Each corner of the cable reeler base plate has three M8 holes to suit multiple mounting
positions. The cable reeler should be secured to the reinforcement plate using a bolt in
each corner of the base plate.
In some situations there may be protruding bolts or a weld on the cable reeler mounting
surface.
Installation Steps:
1. Use stand-offs to raise the cable reeler above the bolts or weld.
2. Ensure the cable reeler is mounted in line with the boom so the cable doesn't wear against
the cover when the boom is extended/retracted.
3. Mount the cable anchor to the end boom section.
4. Choose the location for the cable anchor
so the cable extends parallel to the boom.
5. Adjust the height of the anchor so the cable is in
line with the middle of the cable reeler drum, otherwise the cable may bunch up in a corner
when the boom is retracted.
6. Mount cable supports on any extra boom sections.
7. Ensure the support is positioned in line
with the cable.
8. Adjust the height of the support so the cable remains in line.
9. Run the cable through any supports and attach to the cable anchor.
10. Secure the connector
to the boom head using the supplied p-clip.
