OverWatch - General - OverWatch for Haulotte Optimum 8 (Opti) and Compact models
Since May 2021 EQSS supplies a modified OverWatch kit to Haulotte for installation onto the
Optimum 8 (Opti) and Compact models.
This modified kit is internally identified as ‘EVO’, it may be referenced by Haulotte as SGS.
Externally it may be mistakenly called OverWatch by rental and construction companies.
Note that EQSS still supplies the OverWatch kit for retrofitting onto the same models. Thus there are
some Haulotte Compacts and Optis with OverWatch and some with EVO.
For all sales and support it is important to identify if it is OverWatch or EVO.
The EVO kit is comprised of:
- A CAN R3V1 ECU
- An R3V1 sensor
Please note that there are 3 types of R3V1 ECUs, namely Digital, Hybrid and CAN. This one is the CAN type.
The mounting bracket and wiring harness is supplied by Haulotte.
The EVO connects to the scissorlift via CAN, using Haulotte coded software.
NOTE The OverWatch R2V3 software is not compatible with the EVO. The standard method of accessing the WiFi by swiping over the sensor on startup doesn't exist for this ECU. Software maintenance is managed entirely by the Haulotte ECU as described in the Haulotte EVO manual.
