Transferring Large Files Using WeTransfer
There may be occasions where EQSS support have asked for files that cannot be sent via email.
This may be because the files are:
1. Too large and your sent email is then rejected by the email client or server
2. Breaking your company restrictions imposed on your email, which prevent sending certain types of files
3. Triggering mail server refusal to send certain files, because it deems them to be possible viruses
In this case use WeTransfer to send the files. This is a convenient method of providing EQSS with almost any type or size files. At the time of writing this article, WeTransfer is able to send attachments up to 2GB and will automatically delete the file after 3 days.
Step-by-step of how to find and use this service:
- Open https://wetransfer.com in your web browser
- Accept the license terms

- The transfer window will be shown on the left side of the page (as shown below)

- Select the file or files you wish to send by either drag-and-dropping from the file manager or click Add files and select the file from the dialog box.
Enter the eqss email address in the Email to field.
Send to support@eqss.com.au if sending for a support ticket.
Enter your email address in the Your email field.
Enter a description into the Title field.
When sending for a support ticket make sure to enter the ticket number in the form [## <TicketNum> ##] into the Title field to ensure the files will be attached to the same ticket to speed up the support process.
Click Transfer

- WeTransfer will send a verification code to your email. Copy this verification code into the Enter verification code field and click Verify and Send

- Wait for the file transfer to be completed

- Once the transfer is complete WeTransfer will send an email to the provided EQSS email address to download the files. EQSS will then be able to observe and review your sent files.
