The Model6381 Dual Axis Inclinometer is a multi functional sensor / system used for determination of relative angles with respect to gravity.
The system is suitable for use as stand alone warning system in applications, such as, chassis level and man basket level determination, maximum angle alarm or cut-out requirements.
The Model6381 uses a dual axis inclinometer and provides high accuracy in all operational environments. The newest versions feature an in-built WiFi module for easy connection via smart phones and laptops, allowing on site calibration of sensors and access to the diagnostics data log. The newest Model6381-F is factory configured, with additional inputs and outputs to suit the application, as either a system sensor or an angle limiter where audio and electronic outputs are also required.

Operation
The Model 6381 EWP Stability Sensor has 3 operating modes; Normal, Warning and Alarm.
Normal Mode
The Stability Sensor is in normal mode when the angle is below the warning threshold
relative to the reference angle and override is not enabled. The buzzer does not sound
in this mode. The vehicle is in a safe condition and can be operated as normal.
Warning Mode
In this mode the angle is above the warning threshold but below the alarm threshold.
The buzzer produces a 1 second intermittent tone. This indicates the vehicle is
approaching a dangerous angle and needs to be corrected.
Alarm Mode
In this mode the angle has passed the alarm threshold, which is set to ± 5 degrees on
both axes. The buzzer produces a solid tone and the cutout is engaged. The vehicle is
beyond a dangerous angle and must be immediately corrected. The Stability Sensor
uses hysteresis and will remain in alarm mode until the angle has passed below the
warning threshold.
Reference Angle
The reference angle is set during calibration (See Calibration on Page 10) and is
considered to be the mid point of the safe operating angle for the vehicle. The reference
angle should be set to level ground. The warning and alarm thresholds are measured
from the reference angle
