Gen3 - Installation - Cable Reeler Mounting Instructions
The Gen 3 cable reeler must be installed as shown in the installation manual instructions for your particular Telehandler
Failure to comply with installation drawings and photos will likely result in unpredictable operational behavior.

According to the Install manual - the cable reeler mounting brackets are aligned with the bottom of the boom and then welded (as seen in the photo above)

Bracket Mounting Instructions:
1. Weld the stow switch and anchor the mounting bracket to the first
extendable section
2. The stow switch bracket must be welded in a position that
will trigger the stow switch when
the boom is fully retracted
3. Ensure the mounting bracket
is welded on the first extendable
section, not on the last section.
Note: If
welded on the last section, the cable
reeler will be damaged when the
boom is extended.
4. A safe method for stow switch bracket positioning is to first weld the cable reeler brackets and then mount the cable reeler
5. Then line up the stow switch bracket so that when the boom is fully retracted, the stow switch is depressed fully.
Optimal alignment occurs when the boom is fully retracted and the stow switch wheel lines up with the centre of the stow switch bracket (similar to the photo below)
In the photo above, the stow switch bracket is positioned and welded roughly in line with the full length boom weld seam (roughly vertical center of the boom).
6. Drill and tap a M8 hole for the cable
anchor.
7. Mount the cable anchor to the
bracket and attach the cable.
8. The cable should be positioned so that it sits in the centre of the cable reeler cable loop guide (minimal frictional contact during cable extension)
Optimum steel cable positioning occurs when it minimally makes frictional contact with the steel cable guide ring
9. Connect the supplied M12, 10 meter
cable (CB001027) into the cable
reeler connection.
