The Boom Position Sensor (BPS) is used to
measure the boom extension and boom angle to determine the maximum lifting capacity.
Installation Steps:
1. Position
the BPS toward the centre of the boom, so the wheels are in contact with the
first boom segment. Also make sure that it is positioned so that the wheel
guards do not touch the internal boom trigger switch bars.
2. Ensure
that the wheel guard from the BPS does not clash with the boom when mounting.
3. Drill
and tap holes for the BPS according to the mounting diagram below. Mount
using the supplied bolts.
4. Retract the boom completely. Position the stow sensor at the back of the boom in the position demonstrated in the image. Ensure that the front of the sensor is within 5mm of the boom when it is fully stowed
5. Drill
and tap two M6 holes in the correct location. Mount
using the supplied screws and washers

A false 109 or 123
fault can occur if the boom jumps off the stow switch due to pressurising the
hydraulic system and without operating the boom extension control. Ensure the stow
switch sensors are correctly adjusted to prevent this error.
