The Boom Position Sensor (BPS) is used to
measure the boom extension and boom angle to determine the maximum lifting capacity.
Installation Steps:
1. Extend
the boom out 1 meter in order to move the segment lip away from the BPS mounting
section
2. Remove
the existing four screws found in the boom (locations shown in the image), and
mount the BPS using the supplied M6 screws.
3. Extend
the boom to full extension (ensure the stabilisers are down to get the full
extension). Remove the grease on the
centre of the boom - on the segment where the wheels of the BPS (section is
highlighted in red).
4. Retract the boom completely, then position the stow sensor at the back of the boom in the position (shown in the photo below).
Ensure
that the front of the sensor is within 5mm of the boom when it is fully stowed. See Note 1.
5. Install the Stow Sensor in the pre-drilled location, mount using the supplied screws and washers.

Note 1. Ensure
that the sensor does not come into contact with the boom. Failure to follow this instruction will
result in damage to the sensor

A false 109 or 123 fault can occur if the boom jumps off the stow switch
due to pressurising the hydraulic system and without operating the boom
extension control. Ensure the stow switch sensors are correctly adjusted to
prevent this error
