This Tech Doc shows how the Control Module is Installed on the ALC1000 Boom Lift
Required Hardware:
- 2 x M6 x 30mm bolts
- 2 x M6 lock nuts
- 2 x M6 washers
- 4 x M6 nuts
- 1 x M18 cable gland or equivalent.
Installation Steps:
1. Inside the operator control box, locate the small 7mm hole in the
bottom tray right hand corner.
2. Using this hole as a reference, drill another 7mm hole at a
distance of 100mm.
3. This will
make two mounting points to bolt
the control module man platform.
4. Attach the control module to the
man platform by using M6x30mm
bolts with washers and lock nuts,
tension to 12Nm. See Note 1.
This is done
by using 2 x M6 nuts attached to
the bolts and positioned between
the man platform and the control
module.
5. Using a step drill. Drill one
20mm hole in the left hand side
of the control box to mount the
Crush Guard M23 Screw lock
connector.
This hole should be
positioned approximately 100mm
from the left hand side and
100mm from the rear (as shown in the photo below)
Using a step drill. Drill one
18mm hole in the left hand side
of the control box to mount the
cable gland to run the wire that
connects to the foot switch.
This
hole should be positioned
approximately 200mm from the
left hand side and 100 from the
rear (as shown in the photo below).
Secure the M12 5-Way and 8-Way
screw lock connectors from the
Crush Guard frame into the
control module.
Make sure that
the screw lock connectors are
tightened finger tight into their
corresponding sockets.

Note 1. A 10mm stand off distance is required between the man platform and the control module
