Gen3_ITC - Installation - Caterpillar 962K Articulation Sensor Installation

Notes
The articulation sensor is mounted mid machine at the point of machine articulation
Installation Steps:

1. Install the Articulation base plate in the location shown (red circle in the left photo below). Make sure the inner circle from the Articulation Bracket Base Plate matches up with pivot point of the machine. Modification to the articulation bracket base will be necessary in order to make the bolts align. The articulation angle bracket arm will need to be modified and welded in the location shown in the bottom image. Use the supplied screws to adjust the distance accordingly.

2. Once the Core Bracket has been mounted, align the sensor bracket arm in such way that the core sits over the designated location on the sensor. The sensor has a small circular groove where the core must sit. The distance between the core and the sensor must be no greater than 5mm. Once aligned, mark the mounting location for the ‘Sensor Bracket Arm’ and weld in the marked location

3. Route the Sensor cable as shown in the diagram, use cable ties to attached the Sensor cable to the existing flexible pipes and avoid contact with other moving objects. The cable will need to be routed to the articulation port on the CPIM.
